URETEK Holdings, Inc. Announces Gubernatorial Re-appointment of Robert Moody, Jr. as Board Member to Florida’s Construction Industry Licensing Board
URETEK Holdings, Inc. is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Robert “Bob” Moody, Jr. as Board Member to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation’s Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) by Florida Governor Rick Scott. The CILB is responsible for licensure and regulation of the construction industry in accordance with the Professional Practice Act, Chapter 489 of the Florida Statutes. Shortly after his re-appointment, Mr. Moody was named Vice Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Moody was first appointed to the CILB in 2007, confirmed by the Florida Senate in 2008 and re-appointed to serve through 2015. Mr. Moody serves as the underground utility contractor representative on the board serving on many committees regulating the profession. The board meets three days every month to consider applications for licensure, to review disciplinary cases and to conduct hearings relating to licensure and discipline. The board also engages in rulemaking to implement the provisions set forth in its statutes.
Mr. Moody is employed as Chief Operating Officer of URETEK Holdings, Inc, a Florida based company specializing in soil stabilization and densification using a patented, high-density polymer to fill voids and strategically lift sunken concrete structures. With over thirty years of experience in the civil, environmental and transportation construction industries, Mr. Moody brings a wealth of experience and unique perspective to the board. Bob is a Florida-licensed general contractor, underground utility contractor and pollutant storage systems contractor, having first been licensed in 1991. He has managed a wide spectrum of construction contracts with disciplines ranging from civil construction, to transportation, to underground utility infrastructure and has served in consulting and contracting roles to numerous government, commercial and private clients.
